I haven't actually tested this, but from the code it looks like it should work (specialctrl is obviously the one on tab 4).

void TabChange()
{
   if (specialctrl.IsVisible())
       // Tab 4 selected
}

It is a bit of a bodge though, adding Item::GetSlave would be better.
