well i was able to install it but the first time i enter to the theide application, the user setup dialog appears i let the default settings, hit ok button and it crash. after a while following the /src/ide/Install.cpp file, i saw that a return is missing in the CopyFolder function (Line 249), probably the compiler assume that return is false by default and the installation script hangs, i fixed putting just a return and now is working fine.
i dont know if you guys already fix that, but it isn't fixed in the source tar.gz 2008.1.

i hope this can help some users with similar problems. Smile
