Thanks for your tips. You make it sound so easy. However, it ain't so till you've done it the first time Razz

and I can vouch for that since I was a UPP newbie here some time back. I got a couple of hints from the piclist@mit.edu one of which is 'serproxy' I found this site http://www.lspace.nildram.co.uk/freeware.html that seems to have the sources too. I intend to investigate this further. Thanks
